HDP PS

Throughout my HDP PS journey, I’ve had the privilege of immersing myself in the world of table tennis. For an entire school year, I dedicated countless hours to honing my skills, progressing from the basics to more advanced techniques.

LO1: Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth.

My table tennis experience has been a journey of self-discovery. I’ve identified my strengths, such as my agility and quick reflexes. However, I’ve also recognized areas where I can improve, such as my backhand technique and consistency. This self-awareness has been invaluable in guiding my practice and setting targeted goals for growth.

LO2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills.

Over the past year, I’ve embraced numerous challenges that have pushed me to develop new skills. Mastering the forehand drive was a significant hurdle, requiring precise hand-eye coordination and a strong backswing. I persevered through countless drills and practice matches, eventually achieving a level of proficiency that I’m proud of. Similarly, learning the backspin serve and the chop presented their own unique challenges, but with consistent practice, I was able to incorporate these techniques into my game.

LO4: Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience.

Table tennis is a demanding sport that requires unwavering commitment. There were times when I faced setbacks or plateaus, but I remained determined to overcome these obstacles. Through consistent practice and a positive mindset, I was able to maintain my motivation and continue to progress. This experience has taught me the importance of perseverance and the satisfaction that comes from overcoming challenges.

My HDP PS journey in table tennis has been immensely rewarding. Not only have I developed new skills and improved my physical fitness, but I’ve also gained valuable life lessons in perseverance, self-discipline, and the importance of setting and achieving goals.
