This is my CAS project where I worked to collect plastic waste for around 3 months. I spread awareness about the plastic waste collection by the Eco vision organization and helped them collect waste from different societies. I spread awareness with the help of social media like we shoot a video about the collections of plastic waste. Eco vision is the organization that makes plastic articles from plastic waste. During this drive I was able to successfully collect plastic waste from our school.

LO3 – Initiate and plan a CAS experience
During this project I with a few other students in this drive planned the whole process for spreading awareness and conducted the whole process on our own. We shoot a video to spread awareness and made a community of students to work along with us. We also went to every class to motivate and inform the students about our project. The project was totally planned and initiated by me and a few more students.

LO4 – Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience
This project was a 3 month long project and during the initial time it was tough for us to convince people to deposit plastic waste to us but then we came up with ideas to motivate kids like we said to award them with certificates if they contribute to our project which somehow motivated them. Basically it was tough to convince people and reach the goal of collecting 10,000 kg of plastic waste in 3 months but I was focused and successfully accomplished the goal and submitted the plastic waste to the Eco vision organization.

LO6 – Engagement with issues of global significance
This project was totally related to the UN SDG responsible consumption and production and sustainable cities and communities. As we reuse plastic waste by submitting it to the eco vision organization they reuse it and make plastic articles out of it which reduces the amount of plastic waste and helps keep the cities and communities sustainable. If we use plastic we also take the effort of reusing it and using it again which helps us responsibly consume and produce.
