Participating in “Game Stole and Fun” as part of The Globe Odyssey was an enriching experience that pushed me to explore my capabilities while fostering collaboration with others.
LO-1: Identifying Strengths and Areas for Growth
During this activity, I discovered my strengths in leadership and creativity. While setting up the game stalls, I realized I excel at organizing tasks and coming up with engaging ideas to attract participants. However, I noticed that my time management could be improved, as I often underestimated the time required for setup. Moving forward, I plan to use planners and set realistic deadlines to ensure smoother execution of tasks.
LO-2: Undertaking Challenges and Developing New Skills
The most significant challenge was ensuring every visitor to our game stall had a memorable experience. This required quick thinking, patience, and adaptability. I developed better communication skills by engaging with a diverse audience and learned the importance of staying calm under pressure, especially during peak hours. These new skills will undoubtedly help me in future group settings.
LO-5: Collaboration and Its Benefits
Working collaboratively with my peers was the highlight of this activity. Each team member brought unique strengths, and we relied on each other to succeed. I learned how essential it is to listen to others’ ideas and find common ground. This not only enhanced the stall’s functionality but also made the experience more enjoyable and cohesive.
In conclusion, “Game Stole and Fun” allowed me to identify my potential, address areas of improvement, and appreciate the importance of teamwork. It was an exciting way to learn and grow while contributing to a larger cause.
