The alumni reunion held on December 23rd was a fulfilling CAS experience where I demonstrated Learning Outcomes LO3: Initiate and plan a CAS experience, LO4: Show perseverance and commitment in a CAS experience, and LO5: Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively.

LO3: Initiate and plan a CAS experience
Organizing the event required meticulous planning, from brainstorming creative ideas to managing logistics. With a tight timeline set by our supervisors, I took the initiative to develop a structured plan for the event. This included delegating tasks among team members, sourcing materials for handmade decorations, and ensuring that all aspects aligned with the goal of creating a memorable experience for the alumni. The successful execution of the event highlighted my ability to plan effectively and adapt to challenges, such as time constraints and limited resources, while ensuring everything was completed on schedule.

LO4: Show perseverance and commitment in a CAS experience
The preparation process came with its share of challenges, particularly rigid deadlines and the labor-intensive nature of handmade decorations. Despite setbacks like running out of materials or ideas not working as intended, I remained committed to the project and consistently pushed through obstacles. This experience taught me that perseverance, patience, and a focus on the end goal are essential when working under pressure, enabling me to deliver meaningful results.

LO5: Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively
Teamwork played a pivotal role in the success of the reunion. Collaborating with seven peers, we combined our strengths to execute the event effectively. From brainstorming activity ideas to coordinating efforts for creating handmade decorations, we supported each other throughout. A notable example was when we worked together to attach handmade hangings to trees, a task that required problem-solving and teamwork. This experience allowed me to strengthen my interpersonal skills and highlighted the benefits of collaboration, such as shared creativity and efficient task management.
