(Completing the stand C- creativity, since we had to give suggestions about our outfits, rearrange them, select makeup and hairstyles and put the whole skit together)
FS got talent is an event that gives people an opportunity to present their strongest skills and their talents, but also some new concepts such as Fashion Show. I was not the organizer of it but participated as a model. At first I was a bit hesitant to participate, but eventually took part in it because I like to indulge in fashion. Our team styled 5 outfits for 5 models (using their clothes). The leaders had something exciting in their mind and so they did not just organize a ramp walk but also a skit with it to provide more meaning to our clothes. I really wanted to win because the concept was really interesting and unique but it turned out we were the only participants in this category.
Lastly, the whole experience really motivated me because we got some of the best reviews from teachers, students and the judges. The audience really enjoyed the show and so did we, but most importantly it was an experience that taught me how to be prepared and plan a show properly and more professionally.

During this process I was able to identify my own strengths and weaknesses. What I identified was that I provide meaningful suggestions about the outfits being selected. I would relate the dress to the makeup and hairstyle to match it with the character. However, while on stage, I had some stage fear. I was not confident enough to walk as a model due to all the eyes staring at me. However, I figured there were my teammates who are going to be on stage with me, and now that I was aware that I have stage fear, I closed my eyes, took a deep breath and then walked on the stage. This turned out pretty good as I could feel relaxed. Overcoming this weakness was very important, this is because if I have great ideas I should have the ability to present it to great people, if I am going to be afraid of the stage, I might never be able to talk confidently about my ideas. And I am happy to have found a method to let it go. It is highly important for you to know your strengths and weakness. This is because knowing your strengths allows you to succeed where things come easy to you, and knowing your weaknesses will show you the areas you have room for improvement in. This will help you self-analyse and succeed.

Generally working with others in a group is easy with me but at the same time I would like all the team members to consider my opinion to a higher level. However, this fashion show was not my initiative, I was just there as a model. So working in this group was somewhat difficult for me. This is because since I was expected to just sit back and agree to their opinion. I did provide mine at some points but they were not necessarily taken into consideration. But I told myself that it was okay and that I had to learn how to be patient with disagreements. It is very important to be able to work collaboratively. Teamwork was very important in this experience. This is because if I had different opinions about an outfit and was not ready to wear it, the fashion show would be off. It was important that I listened, respected and come to a common ground with all my teammates.
| LO 7- Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions |
The ethical consideration that we had to keep in mind was that we were performing in front of our whole school. There were going to be teachers, students from grade 7 to 12, and parents as well. We had to be very mindful while choosing the clothes that we were wearing. It was important that they matched our context but at the same time were appropriate for school. Furthermore, while working on our skit, we were very mindful that we are not hurting any religion, race, or sex with our content. This issue was something that we had to be very careful about and I understood that it was our responsibility to handle it well. Before this experience, I did not know how much efforts are put into finding something appropriate for the audience but now I understand that it is very important that we consider where are we standing, who are we performing in front of and what are we performing.
To conclude, this experience helped me extend myself and develop new skills such as collaborating. This also provided the audience with a new perspective that fashion shows are not just limited to ramp walks but they can have something exciting and creative linked with them.
