Grade 12 farewell is one of the most memorable days of our lives. This day is the end of a beginning, a day where we remember all of the memories we made throughout these years.I was a part of the dance team for the grade 12 farewell where we decided to make this event more memorable for our seniors.

LO3 – Initiate and plan a CAS experience

Our theme for the farewell was retro for which we finalized old bollywood songs. After finalizing the list of songs, we divided those songs into 2 parodies. We began by practicing parody 1 which took a lot of time and we had very limited time left to practice parody 2. We decided to come early in so that we get more time to practice parody 2. Along with being the part of the dance team, we all even helped the decor team because there were very few people for the decor. On the day of the farewell, all of our hard work had paid off and all of our seniors loved our dance and decorations.

LO5 – Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively.

Dance is all about coordination and collaboration. We were able to coordinate with each other to match our dance moves which enhanced our dance but because we had very less time to practice parody 2, we all collaborated and people who learned the dance quickly started helping others because of which we were able to learn and practice all of the dances on time. This collaboration helped us improve our dance and save time for us to practice more.

LO7 – Recognise and consider the ethics of choices and actions.

During our dance practice we ensured that we treated our team mates withg respect which included acknowledging them and involving them in decision-making processes. We helped each other instead of blaming so that we can improve our coordination and our dance performance. We considered opinions of everyone regarding some dance steps, dance formations, and the song order.
