Farewell is the most memorable event for the seniors who will be soon leaving the school and we wanted to make sure that we give them the best and remarkable farwell. 

My experience in farwell was amazing, I volunteered for decor. A bittersweet feeling sweeps over me as my time volunteering with the Decor Team comes to the end. It has been an excitement of ideas and making the event successful. It was difficult as there were so many creative ideas for photo booths, stage decoration, assembly decoration and etc. It was very time consuming but it was worth it at the end.

LO2 (Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process)

The challenges we as a decor team faced were many, We had limited amounts of time and limited resources. There were many props which we made by ourselves, whether it be the big boards,letters, or small props and cutouts. It wasn’t easy for us to get the decoration done, we had a lot of changes for the decor and also a lot of brainstorming was required to ensure everything is according to the theme.Another challenge i faced was with the farewell another event was happening which was global odessey and i was a part of the decor team, it was difficult to manage the work of both the events as well as my academics.The skills which I developed is thinking skill because we had to brainstorm different ideas for photo booths, stage decor and table decor and also developed self-management skills as i had to manage 2 events at once with my academics.

LO3 (Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience)

To ensure the work is done on time and all the decor is ready, the leader made groups and assigned the task, this made it more organized and for everyone like 6 people made clappers in which 3 people were drawing and other 3 were painting.The leaders also decided to break down the big project like photo booths, they divided it into smaller part to make it easier on the day of farewell as the only would be left is to arrange.These techniques helped as the difficult task was easy and we completed it. 

LO4 (Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences)

It was difficult and also tiring at some points as, a lot of work was left and time was less and so were the resources, it got difficult for us to manage and complete the task as well as we had to manage our studies. But to make sure that the decor turned out well, I gave my best effort and made sure that I completed my part of the task properly. It was not easy for me to commit to the task because there were days which were very tiring but I still managed to do it. 

In conclusion, though there were difficulties I managed to complete the assigned task with my best effort, the learner profile characteristic i developed was balanced, as managing my school work and working for the farewell was difficult but i still managed to balance it.
