Anand Utsav is an event organised in our school by students to show gratitude to the support staff. We organise games, activities and performances to entertain them in return for all the help we get from them throughout the year. I was part of the games organisation team.

LO5 – Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively
When we first started with the planning of the event, I realised that there were too many of us, each with different ideas of what should be done. I thought it would cause trouble and we would execute it poorly. But as the planning progressed, there was hardly any problem at all. We had all come together to show gratitude to all our Didis and Bhaiyas form the bottom of our hearts. We worked together to complete all the decor in record time as well as the improvisations we had to make on the day of the event.

LO3 – Initiate and plan the a CAS experience
I was part of the games team. We had to decide on all the games and as well as arrange for all the resources needed. When some games were not possible due to the venue or the unavailability of any resources, we would often have to change things that were impacted. But, at the end, we saw all the staff smile and laugh so it was worth it.

LO4 – Show commitment and perseverance in the CAS Experiences.
When we started planning all the things that were to be done on the main day, there were a lot of complications. Like, how to distribute the staff or how will all of them play games at the same time or even the venues that were undecided till the last moment. Our commitment was the extra efforts we put in to communicate with the authorities or with the support staff in charges, constant running back and fro for the decor materials or the resources needed on the main day.

To sum up, this is an experience that taught me to be grateful for the working hands that help us every day and to work together to show them gratitude. Even with complications, I learnt that working together helps us find solutions to all problems, even if they don’t seem solvable.
