French immersion

I participated in the French school event in the Jeopardy stall was a good experience that allowed me to apply my CAS skills in a real-world setting as i was able to do events that usually does not happen in india and talking to people in french while doing the event stall was every fun. This experience involved organizing a French themed based event with different kinds of stalls at my high school.

Learning outcome 5: Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively.

The celebration of French culture, where all french students who were interested in our event came together and the new learning french people to participate in various activities and explore the French culture. For my contribution to this event, I decided to set up a Jeopardy stall with a few of my colleagues. In setting up the Jeopardy stall, I had to collaborate with fellow students and volunteers. Together, we designed the questions and answers, created the game boards, and managed the logistics of the stall. This collaborative effort allowed us to pool our ideas and resources effectively and work collaboratively as a team, ensuring the success of the activity and to make sure that we all conducting the event have fun with the people participating in the event we hosted. The benefits of working collaboratively were evident throughout the event. The Jeopardy stall received a fantastic response, with a large number of students and visitors participating energetic and enthusiasm .

Learning outcome 3: A Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience.

To bring this event steps were involved Initially, we discussed the concept with the CAS coordinator, seeking their guidance and support. Assembling a dedicated team of students who shared my enthusiasm for French culture was essential for this event to become fun and a successful .They would play a role in the planning and execution of the event. Regular meetings were held to carefully plan every aspect of the event, from selecting the date and venue to outlining the various activities and logistics for what time we started the event and the time we ended the event.

Learning outcome 2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process.

Initiating and planning this service experience was both a challenge and a valuable learning opportunity. It demanded dedication, teamwork, and the ability to adapt to unforeseen challenges. Ultimately, the French-themed event not only enriched our school’s cultural diversity but also provided me with insights into event planning, leadership, and the importance of fostering a sense of community. This experience allowed me to fulfill the learning outcome of demonstrating how to initiate and plan a CAS experience while leaving a lasting impact on both me and my school community.
