Creative Mela was an event brimming with enthusiasm and talent, where students came together to showcase their skills in various activities such as garba, painting, football, sketching, t-shirt painting, dancing, karate, and more. As the event’s photographer, I had the unique opportunity to capture these moments and contribute to the vibrant atmosphere. This experience not only allowed me to hone my photography skills but also provided invaluable insights into the power of collaboration, the importance of perseverance, and the significance of careful planning and execution.
Following with the LOR 5: Working as a photographer at Creative Mela underscored the importance of collaboration. With numerous activities happening simultaneously, coordinating with other volunteers and participants was crucial. We had to ensure that every event was documented without missing key moments. I worked closely with the event organizers to understand the schedule and requirements, and collaborated with participants to capture their best performances. This teamwork was essential in creating a comprehensive photographic record of the event, highlighting the diverse talents of the students and the spirit of the Mela.
Furthermore, following with the LOR 4: Demonstrating perseverance and commitment was a cornerstone of my CAS experience at Creative Mela. The event spanned an entire day, requiring long hours of continuous work. From early morning preparations to capturing the final moments of the event, the task demanded unwavering dedication. There were challenges, such as fluctuating weather conditions and managing large crowds, but staying focused and committed to my role was essential. My determination to document every aspect of the event, despite the obstacles, ensured that the memories of Creative Mela were preserved beautifully.
Moreover, the last LOR is LOR 3: Initiating and planning my role as a photographer for Creative Mela involved meticulous preparation. Prior to the event, I discussed the photographic requirements with the organizers, prepared my equipment, and planned my approach for capturing each activity. Understanding the flow of the event and anticipating key moments allowed me to be in the right place at the right time. This strategic planning was instrumental in executing my responsibilities effectively and ensuring that I did justice to the vibrant essence of Creative Mela.
