Anand Utsav

I hosted the Anand Utsav, an event designed to entertain and appreciate our school support staff. My responsibilities included organizing the event, engaging with the staff, and facilitating games. This experience was both creatively challenging and a meaningful way to express gratitude to the essential members of our school community. Participating in this event gave me a sense of fulfillment and highlighted the importance of acknowledging the hard work of those around us.

LO2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills
I felt quite nervous due to my limited social skills, which made it challenging for me to interact with a large group of people simultaneously. The thought of hosting the event and speaking in front of such an audience heightened my stage fright. However, I confronted these challenges head-on. Through preparation and determination, I gradually built my confidence and learned to present myself effectively. Overcoming these fears not only helped me grow personally but also made the experience all the more rewarding.

LO5: Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively
My friends and I collaborated closely to create a script that was both entertaining and enlightening for the staff at the Anand Utsav event. This process involved brainstorming ideas together, discussing what themes and messages we wanted to convey, and ensuring that our script reflected our shared vision. We had rehearsals, and assigned roles for a smooth event.

LO7
Anand Utsav was not just an event; it was a way to express our appreciation for the school’s support staff, whose hard work often goes unrecognized. Every decision we made— from decorations to the organization of the event—was rooted in our values of respect and gratitude. Our goal was to create an environment where the staff felt truly valued, and this ethical consideration guided us throughout the planning and execution process. Given the diverse backgrounds of the staff, we were careful to ensure that our choices were inclusive and respectful, avoiding any potential offense.
