Balmela is a fair that is organized for the kids from unprivileged backgrounds to learn new things and explore creativity and have fun. A number of students from different government schools come to our school and we get the opportunity to interact with them. In this event we plan fun activities, arts and crafts, and dance for those students. I was part of the social media team where I was the photographer of the event in the assigned areas.

LO2- Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process

Events are full of fleeting moments. As a photographer, I needed to be quick on my feet to capture candid photos, emotional expressions, and key actions as they happen. This challenged me to develop good reflexes and anticipation skills.

LO6- Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance

Since the event we hosted was for a greater cause, the photos I took can serve for awareness. These stories can be shared on social media or with relevant organizations, reaching a wider audience and sparking conversations about global issues.

Takeaways:

Reflective: I was able to reflect about my learning outcomes and the new skills I developed with the help of the photography that I took. I was able to reflect on the event and identity key highlights of the same.
