LO1: Identify your own strengths and develop areas for personal growth
Participating in the Valorant school tournament was an eye-opening experience for me, allowing me to identify both my strengths and areas for personal growth. As a player, I realized that my ability to remain calm under pressure and communicate effectively with my teammates were strong assets. However, I also noticed areas that needed improvement, such as my reflexes during high-stakes moments and my ability to adapt quickly to changing strategies. This reflection pushed me to work on my flexibility and to improve my tactical decision-making.
LO2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process
The tournament wasn’t without its challenges . Competing against skilled teams required me to develop new strategies and skills. I undertook the challenge of mastering different agent roles, which expanded my understanding of the game and strengthened my versatility. It wasn’t just about winning but pushing myself beyond my comfort zone, learning how to handle setbacks, and becoming a more well-rounded player.
LO5: Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively
One of the biggest takeaways from this experience was recognizing the value of teamwork . Working collaboratively with my team taught me the importance of trusting others, sharing responsibilities, and making joint decisions in fast-paced scenarios. Our success hinged on our ability to communicate clearly and adjust our strategies together. This not only helped us perform better in the game but also built a strong sense of camaraderie and mutual respect, which are valuable skills beyond gaming.
