I joined the Accounts club activity which was part of AS/PS, as I wanted to understand the stock market and its nature, as i took part in the club to do research work and asked the teachers who know about the stock market to help us understand better about it. We researched about the reliance industry stock market and saw a graph showing positive or negative progression.

The graph shows the stock price per share of reliance and all the details about the company average rages and daily and how it differs time to time and the volume of it. We also view other companies as well and we learn about how to draw a graph to estimate the future price of the company stocks.

LO1 – Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth

The strength i figured about when we learnt about the stocks exchange, i was able to understand how it works and if the stocks of the company decreases it means its not in a good stage of growth progress and if it increases its doing a good progress. The stock price value shows how well a company is doing in the market the higher the value the more prosperity the company has. I need to grow in areas of understanding the graphs as it keeps on changing in a period of time . its demonstration showing the progress of the stock market and predicting it is very hard as not everything is assured after sometime. I developed in listening and learning skills as i was able to understand the concepts of the stock market and how people invest finance depending on the price of the company status.

LO2 – Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing a new skill

The new skill i developed is better research skills, learning skills and listening skills, as one of the teachers came to help us understand the graph and how it works and what factors effect the graph to change its trend. I was having a hard time in the start and than he solve my query and i understood it and it helped my learning skills. Me and my club members discus about stock market and we were learning form each other and shared our option it improved my listening skills as we listen to each other without any interference from anyone. We did a research on one of the companies on detail and learnt about its stocks status and its net profit, gross profit and etc.

LO7 Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions

The problems i faced during the club activity, I was having a hard time in the start and than he solve my query and i understood it in sometime. I also faced problems in areas of understanding the graphs as it keeps on changing in a period of time . its demonstration showing the progress of the stock market and predicting it is very hard as not everything is assured after sometime. These problems affected me directly as i was having difficulty understanding it, it was catastrophic understanding its nature. It made me feel like i have a long way to go and need to improve myself i felt great finding my weakness. The activity stays the same.

LO3 Initiate and plan cas experience

I prepared myself to understand about the stock market and to provide time management efficiently to attend the club and learn about the stock market. The plan we made during the club time was to check different ways to predict the future prices of the stocks by calculating the pervious prices that we gathered from the online sources like the company websites.
