Anand Utsav for a event conducted in school every year to thank the support staff of school and acknowledge their efforts in the smooth functioning of school activities. I became the part of this event by being the part of the decor team and the games team. In this experience I extended myself and also helped in other aspects of the events such as I helped the cooking team in chopping vegetables and serving the food to the support staff during the event.

LO3 – Initiate and plan the a CAS experience
This experience’s decor was planned by the decor team of the event and I was the part of the decor team.
The decor was also executed on the final day by the team. On the event day we decorated three venues for the event. Also on the final day I was the in charge of the game dog and the bone so I made the support staff play dog and the bone. I being the part of the event had to also sometimes participate in other activities related to the event.

LO5 – Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively
During the event I had to work with other volunteers in while making the decor items and while executing the decor I had to work in team with others. This experience taught me the importance of working collaboratively. As due to team work we were able to complete the tasks assigned a day before the event and the on day decor was also easy for us. We tried to used the strengths of each member in the group and while the event to ensure everything goes perfect.

LO7 – Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions
I was always taught by my parents that we should be thankful to the people who work for you and support you in your life. This learning provoked me in participating in this event and thank the support staff of school in helping me whenever I needed. They have been with me for around 13 years and helped me through this 13 year journey. This made me thank them for supporting me for the whole school life and making it function smoothly.

In conclusion, I was a part of this event to thank the support staff running around us to look after us since childhood without a frown on their face. Always being there for me. Also they have been a part of my school life. This experience helped me learn a lot and show my gratitude.
