Global odyssey was an event organized by the Business management and Economics team. It was a fun event thrilled with games, accessories to buy and food with some live music. The aim of this event was to understand and learn about how small businesses work in day to day life. We were supposed to pay the rent for our stall, 2% of the total profit was also donated as charity. Moreover, the decor team was also paid for their hard work. Through this event it helped us experience the ethics of business in real life. We also had band performances to make the event look lively. In this event I was a part of the decor team and band performance.

LO1 – Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth
While performing in the band for this event, it helped me identify my strengths and weaknesses during the practice session. This learning helped me perform well on the final day. One of my biggest weaknesses was that I used to get very anxious during the practices and performances.

LO3 – Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience
As a part of the decor team, me and my friends and our teacher planned the whole decor idea by measuring the area for the event and planning in which way and where the tables would be, how the decoration will look, what all will we have to make for the decor, what all resources would be needed and etc. This is how I initiated and planned the CAS experience.

LO4 – Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences
I was always committed towards the event. I was always present in the preparation slots and also helped in decor prep during my free slots. I also came for the early inns of school to make sure that I complete my tasks on time. Similarly, for the band practice also I used to come in early inns for the practice. This shows my dedication and perseverance towards the event.

LO5 – Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively
Working collaboratively helps complete tasks faster. When we were making the decor stuff, we were around 10 to 12 people together so that we could complete more tasks in less time by dividing tasks for every person. I used my communication skills during this event to guide others and help make the decor products. I also used my thinking skills while thinking for innovative and unique ideas for thiss event.
