Global odyssey is annual event at fountainhead. Every year Grade 11 BM and Econ students organize this event. In this event students are divided into 6 major groups ; fun , food , fashion , decor , accounts and event coordinators. The students further divide themselves into smaller groups of 4-5 people for 1 stall. This event promoted a sense of responsibility and involvement also allowing to showcase their talents and interests. This event also promoted collaborative efforts and teamwork for an successful event.

LO2 : Demonstrate challenges that have been undertaken and developing new skills.

Throughout the process for preparing decor for the event, I had faced the challenge of time management , since I had this event and academic workload also there were other ongoing events at the same time. During this process I had developed time management skills and stress management skills. Considering that I do not have much experience with event management , I faced many challenges because after decorating for the event we also had to fellow batchmates to manage their stalls. Overall It was quite exhausting for me although I throughly enjoyed throughout the event.

LO1 : Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth

In the process of the decoration I realized that without effective communication within the team it is difficult to execute and successful event, thus I started to practice effective communication a the Decor head had created a chat space for the same, where people could share their ideas , opinions and other necessary communication was done to all the members.

LO7 : Recognise and consider the ethics of choices and actions

Since we were preparing the decoration as a team and all of us diffrent and creative ideas for the decor , we as a team , the decor head and the teacher incharge made sure that everyone’s ideas were heard and taken into consideration and there were not biases while planning and making the decor. This ensured fairness for all the decor team members which lead to enhanced collaborative efforts, teamwork and efficiency.
