Twelfth grade marks the culmination of a remarkable journey, concluding with the farewell event. It’s a time of laughter and tears, of forging new memories while treasuring the old. Recognizing the significance of this moment, we’ve tried our best to make the 2024 farewell unforgettable. As a member of the dance team, we were dedicated to delivering our utmost to dazzle our seniors and ensure that this farewell becomes the highlight of their lives.
LO2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills.
I developed my time magangement skills during this task. Due to lack of time of for preparations and farewell approaching in two weeks, I had to balance my academics with my extracurriculars. I had to divide my free slots for both of the events to that I can manage my time and work effectively in both of the events and cover up all of the holidays I had to take. We even came early to school for more than a week so that we can have more time in rehearsing and learning all of our dances for the farewell. We had pull out from many of our slots so that we can practice our dances. Due to the fact that we have our exams in two months, we also had to organize our time well in order to have enough time to study.Â
LO4: Â Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience
Learning 11 dances wasn’t easy. But the only things that made me going were the memories I was creating with my friends and my interest in dance, these things always pushed me to work work and adapt to my schedule. Additionally, grade 12 were already disappointed by our grade seeing the type of invite our grade has given , so they had their hopes down for farewell. While they had thrown a great farewell to their seniors, putting all their efforts, they were expecting the same from us, however we tried our best to put up all potential and make it as best as possible. As sometimes we all felt that there is so much other work remaining, and we were still learning new dances before the Final day, which showed how much of our work was remaining due to lack of time managmenet and communication. However, by making the optimum use of our holiday, we al showed up at school to prepare for the farewell, by not being a part of dance team but also giving a hand to decor team. All our efforts did pay off, with a character of commitment and perservence we ensured that we didnt disappoint our seniors this very last time.
LO5: Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboartively.Â
As mentioned, I was a member of the dance team where we presented two 10-minute parodies for our seniors. Dance demanded significant communication and collaboration to ensure it was both enjoyable and entertaining. For two weeks straight, we convened for early rehearsals, often extending our sessions to refine our routines for the final performances. Managing time became a challenge, especially with the farewell following closely after the global odyssey. However, everyone rallied together, driven by our shared purpose of delighting our seniors and not disappointing them as they didn’t to their seniors. It was the bond with our seniors that fueled our perseverance, and our performance ultimately added an extra layer of joy to their special day, leaving them immensely pleased.
