Even though by default Indian culture has been a huge part of my life,it has never failed to ignite an altogether new spark in me.Especially celebrating festivals always brings me a lot of joy.Hence, I choose to opt for Garba Fest at my school as a part of my CAS activity experience.

I have been celebrating Navratri all my life but this experience in particular provided me an opportunity to develop new skills.(LOI 2) My friends at school taught me new dodhiya steps which I never knew before hence it improved my skill of performing garba.

Moreover,the Garba Fest taught me how to work collaboratively.(LOI 5)Playing Garba requires a lot of consideration of others because together while matching the rhythm of the music you also need to be mindful of others in the circle.So with strangers in the circle not only made me interact with new people but also made me learn effective communication and be empathetic towards the need of others.

So all in all,this experience brought me a lot of joy since I also adore dance very much and made me appreciate the roots of my culture.
