PS

1. Identify your own strengths and develop areas for personal growth.

Joining PS Frisbee has given me the chance to reflect on my strengths, such as my communication and leadership skills. I’ve noticed that I excel at bringing people together and keeping them motivated during games. However, I realized I need to work on my strategic thinking and adaptability during fast-paced situations. By consistently participating, I’m learning how to quickly analyze game situations and improve my decision-making under pressure, areas I look forward to developing further.

2. Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process.

Organizing and leading frisbee sessions came with its fair share of challenges. One of the most significant obstacles was coordinating the schedules of various participants and ensuring that everyone had equal opportunities to participate. Learning to manage time, communicate effectively, and resolve scheduling conflicts helped me develop strong organizational and conflict-resolution skills. Additionally, adapting to different players’ skill levels in games pushed me to improve my coaching abilities, allowing me to guide others in refining their techniques.

4. Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences.

My commitment to PS Frisbee is evident in the time and effort I dedicate to every session. Whether it’s coordinating participants, setting up events, or actively playing, I ensure that I’m fully engaged. Despite occasional setbacks like low attendance or weather-related cancellations, I’ve persevered by finding alternative ways to keep the momentum going, such as rescheduling games or using online platforms to keep participants connected and excited about upcoming events.

5. Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively.

PS Frisbee emphasizes teamwork, both on and off the field. By collaborating with fellow organizers and players, I’ve learned to appreciate how diverse ideas and skills come together to create a better experience for everyone. Working with others has strengthened my ability to delegate tasks, trust teammates, and improve communication, all of which lead to more organized events and enjoyable games. The experience has shown me that collaboration not only enhances my leadership abilities but also fosters a supportive and motivated community.
