For my CAS project I opted for the Creative mela where I was entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring a smooth flow of the event where younger standards would be taught in several different workshops which would act as a form of break from their regular academic classes. The event was conducted on 28-12-2023 between 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

I intended to target several learning outcomes to achieve by this CAS project like…

• Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills (Learning outcome 2)
• Initiate and Plan a CAS experience (Learning Outcome 3)

The planning for this event had begun over a month prior to the date it was being hosted. This event was being hosted for Grades 7,8 and 9 which meant that there were a total of 480 students expected to attend this event which made the coordination of this event a huge logistical challenge not only for me but the entire organizing committee. Due to the high number of students attending the event we would need to segregate the students equally into several workshops to ensure that there was no chaos. So the team decided to brainstorm activities that we could facilitate for the students. The workshops were aligned with the general topic of arts,creativity and innovation.

• Show Perseverance and Commitment in a CAS experience (Learning Outcome 4)

By regularly attending early in sessions and taking constant feedback from my teachers I exemplified learning outcome 4 as I was committed to a positive outcome of the session.

• Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively (Learning outcome 5)

With the workshops decided the team split roles, I was assigned the role of creating forms for volunteering for the workshops and the forms for participating in the workshops. Additionally I also worked on the day itself sticking posters to attract volunteers and participants. Moreover, I also attached decorations on the day of the event to make it as appealing as possible. Leading to the demonstration of Learning outcome 5.

In summary, this event was quite succesful as a lot of students participated and enjoyed the various workshops provided by us, this CAS project also allowed me to achieve 4 learning outcomes which made it quite beneficial.
