Learning Outcome 5 – Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively:

During the trip, I donated food, accessories, etc to the orphans there, protective clothing for the winter, educational stationary, etc. and distributed these things to them. A lot of this should be credited to the collaborative effort of the management there as well as the contacts we utilized to make it happen.

Learning Outcome 6 – Engagement with issues of global significance:

Poverty and hunger are global concerns and issues of considerable importance to the point that Sustainable Development Goals have been established for them as well. I had several interactions with impoverished and orphaned individuals, including children, teens, students, and the adults who care for them. I couldn’t even imagine how they must be feeling because of a lack of parental figures. On this journey, I met children from a category I knew very little about. During the trip, I interacted with them more and learned more about them and the issues they face on a regular basis, which was one of the main reasons I had decided to participate in this donation drive in the first place, for their benefit, which I handled personally and gave to them individually to ensure complete receival by the children.

Learning Outcome 7 – Recognise and consider the ethics of choices and actions:

At many instances, such as deciding what to donate or ensuring that the kids receive the donations, I did consider the implications of my actions in order to determine what should be the best course of action to provide the kids with maximum support and benefit. Ethical choices and the implementation of my decisions played a big deciding role in my trip to the orphanage as I did not just want to donate to middle men and be uncertain about the amount of the donation reaching kids.

These were some of the key lessons from my expedition, as well as how it helped me develop abilities and find previously unknown aspects of myself, such as abilities, interests, mental operations, actualities of numerous communities, and a great deal more. This led me onto an excursion that made me reconsider and appreciate what I had. It also positioned me in an environment that I wasn’t familiar with prior to, stimulating me to venture outside of my familiar territory and undertake something novel in order to gain fresh understanding, essential life skills, and imminently required competencies that I will required.
