HDP PS – Table Tennis

I chose the sport Table tennis in the school PS offerings because I have been playing it for many years now and I enjoy playing table tennis. Choosing Table Tennis in PS also helps me in improving my table tennis skills and training with high quality trainers. Who helped me develop various skills such as ball control, reflexes and movement.

LO1 – Identify your own strengths and develop areas for the growth sector.

Whenever you play any sport every player has their own strengths and weaknesses which are supposed to be worked upon to develop your skills. While playing table tennis it requires great concentration which was a area to grow for me also I had to work upon different shots in which I was not perfect but eventually worked upon and develop that shot.

LO2 – Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process.

To keep your game on the same level and increase table tennis requires frequent practise as if you go out of practise for a long period of time your game just goes off and you need to start all over again. I had to focus on my studies as well studying in 11th standard and I also wanted to play table tennis with enough practise. Through table tennis i developed my time management skills and understood how I have to divide my time between all my tasks so that I am abe to do all my tasks.

LO4 – Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences.

I have been playing for 3 months regularly which is a really long time. And throughout, I have showed dedication and interest in table tennis which is why selected this sport. It was a bit arduous to manage time to play table tennis along with all the deadlines that are coming up.

My dedication and time management skills are becoming stronger every time I participate in table tennis. The things that I have discovered firsthand, throughout this CAS experience, about compliance, conflict, and cooperation will be my treasures which I will take with me after my graduation. I was also involved in my school which was part of the local community of sports activities such as matches and tournaments.
