I wanted my CAS project to be filled with creativity and have a strong message that would resonate with the school community that’s why I decided to do graffiti as my CAS project. The idea was to combine art with something that could speak to everyone on an emotional level. Therefore, my theme was “passion”. What I had in mind was a lively mural, which not only displayed various sports talents present within our school but also encouraged talk about following one’s passions.

The most important part of this project was planning. I worked together with my friend, we shared our thoughts about what passion meant for them personally too. We organized brainstorming sessions during which we tried drawing images symbolizing different things we were passionate about collectively or individually.

The next thing we did was get necessary permissions sorted out. I got in touch with administrators well ahead time so as not catch them by surprise when announcing this initiative later on stage towards completion date.

We started working in the school wall near the basketball court, which became our canvas. We used acrylic paint and brushes to make the walls interesting.

Every part of the mural meant something. We chose big letters reading “Passion” because they looked intense, and added complex pictures that stood for different sports hobbies that students might like. We thought people should be able to see them and think about what they mean in terms of their own lives too.

A moment of proud was when the graffiti mural was finished. We took a step back and let it sink in. And it washed over us accomplishment, satisfaction at a job well done. This was not just any piece but this was living proof that working together for what you love can move mountains. This should serve as an encouragement to all students in our school community chase your dreams with everything you have.

The “Passion” graffiti project did more than just look nice. Its impact will be felt for years to come because it made people talk about following what they’re passionate about it got kids interested in new things and helped them find their place in our school family where before they may not have had one at all. What this painted wall represents is transformation through art with others even after all the paint dries up there will always be something left behind which changed lives forever within these walls!
