Global odyssey was one of the most amazing CAS experience when it comes to showing my creativity and also level up my skills for the same. In this CAS experience we were given three choices from games, fashion and food ,where I selected fashion. In fashion I created bracelets and painted tote bags. First I jotted down all the ideas and designs I had for the bracelet which helped me select the most appealing ones out of them all. additionally I had even watched youtube videos (tutorials) which further developed my skills for making the bracelets. And for tote bags I did a little research to know the designs which are most preferable right now.

LO1 – Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth

For this experience I identify my area of strength of making bracelets and painting. This was really useful because I integrated my passion and strength to create something wonderful. But my skills were not that good due to which I had to do online research and watch youtube videos in order to learn more about about making bracelets more properly. Though I knew the basics but the upgradation was required.

LO5 – Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively.

Further we were divided into pair and groups who have selected the same the products. So with there was one more person. Here working in pair was really beneficial during this time period because we had multiple assessments coming up and deadlines so by dividing our work within 2 people, which had lessen the workload which could possibly be there while working alone.
Additionally, working in pair also benefits us by exchanging feedbacks from each other which had then improved our products and its function by suggesting new designs or ideas which were more suitable enough.

LO7 – Recognise and consider the ethics of choices and actions.

The best part of global odyssey was the donation of few percentage of the money earned by us. Each of the table was allocated a student who was responsible for its accounts. So each item sold by the table was written by the accountant. At the end of the event, after doing the total of all the money earned, few of its percentage was given to the school. The money was then donated. Here we catered the ethics of our choices and actions by taking a step towards the welfare of the society for the people who really require it.

Towards the conclusion, this event was really great because not only I was able to portray my interest in making the bracelet and painting the tote bag but also learn new skills in those area through research and online study. Furthermore, I was able help the society by donating some amount which was earned by me and my partner.

Also here we displayed our understanding business management and economics while selling our products.
