Bal mela is great experience in order to interact with underprivileged kids and to know their part of stories while having fun with them. Every year our school invite government school to come and take part in the fun activities which our volunteered by us. There are multiple activities to volunteered for such as sport, art and craft, dance.I never miss this opportunity to interact with kids, so similarly this year I volunteered for face painting. This is only for one day.

L1.Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth
Art and craft has been strength since my childhood because I loved it so much that I keep doing as when I got free. This is because Art and craft is a fruitful way to utilize my free time instead of spending those hours sitting in front of screen. So here selecting the face painting to volunteer for it even made the event even more wonderful for me because through this I was able to draw the illustration the kids asked me for.

L2. Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills
Though I was always passionate about arts yet I am not that good at face painting because before drawing anything I do practice it before in order to make sure i dont not make any kind of mistake in the final. But in the case of face painting practicing is not a chance henceforth I developed my painting skills each time I painted the faces of the kids.

L3. Initiate and plan a CAS experience
So for this experience we had to preplann the activities which we will do under the art sector we had selected. So for me as I had selected “face painting” we had to pre planned all the art or the drawing which we can show the kids and they can select from the same. This preplanning helped us show the ideas to the kids which made our work even easier as we were prepared with the drawing by practicing it at our home in order to avoid making any of the mistake while painting.

LO6 Demonstrate engagement with issue of global significance
Bal mela is planned in order to provide the underprivileged children with the access to experiences which they lack. This is because these children may not have access to proper education and basic need. The primary aim for this experience is to strive towards society in order to give them equal opportunity to succeed. These kids have great skills and talent which they are not able to show due to the lack of basic needs. I will really encourage everyone to take part in these types of events contributing to the society and making the world better place to life by giving everyone a fair chance to be seen.

Overall, Bal mela was a very fulfilling event through which I was able to display my art and craft skills and also spend great time kids by fostering a friendly bond with them. Through this event I was also able to take a step for the society by providing the experience to the underprivileged kids.
