In a world with a population of 8 billion with so many institutes and schools surrounding us. Then also we lack to provide education to each and everyone, to solve this problem my school organises a 6-session workshop for the underprivileged kids to learn new skills dance, arts and crafts, ICT and many more. I want to be a part of this opportunity so I volunteered to teach them ICT it was a very

These are some photos of my class whom I taught during those six sessions. It was a great time teaching them, while teaching them I also learned a lot at the start of the workshop I did not know how to speak Gujarati but by the end, they learned how to use a Chromebook and I learned how to speak Gujarati.
LO – 1 Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth
Before I got the opportunity to teach underprivileged children I always thought that teaching was the most difficult job there is as the kid’s future, ideology and many more things that shape a person depends on the education that they get from childhood. I got the opportunity to teach the kids through new technology which will help them get a better future, through this experience I got to identify my strength which was that I was good at teaching kids and interacting with them. By the end of the sessions I was getting with the kids and I also improved my teaching skills

LO – 2 Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills
During the month-long program, I faced a lot of problems that I faced. but the biggest one was the language barrier area that I had to work on the most was the language as I knew Hindi, and English but not Gujrati so I asked the kids to teach me to speak Gujarati so I taught them what I knew, and at the end of six sessions they learned how to use a Chromebook and I learned to speak Gujarati
LO – 4 Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience
Community service needed commitment as we were expected to come to school on 4 weekends and take out time of our day to come to school to teach the underprivileged kids so that they can get prepared for the future as learning how to operate a Chromebook will help them greatly in the future studies. The thing that kept me coming to school on the weekend to teach the kids was the passion of kids to learn new things every day.
LO – 5 Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively
The benefit of working collaboratively is that we were all able to gather our experience and create a teaching plan that would help the kids learn the skill in a much more fun and easy way. One thing that we did was come up with a game on the spot by working together in which we divided the kids into teams and made them use the Chrome search engine which helped them also collaborate work and win the game.
LO – 6 Engagement with issues of global significance
This was a global level issue as many kids around the world don’t get the opportunity to learn or get educated through this program and my school helped them in reducing the problem by a fraction of a percentage.
