As a part of the BM, we organise “ the global odyssey” every year to showcase our learning through this event. It is the cultivation of what we have learned throughout the year, business fair, food and smiles. I volunteered as the head of the food team. I learned a lot in organising and managing time and people. 

LO1

I know a lot about food and business fairs. I used this strength of mine to guide people in the food sector to decide on which food is feasible to bring, costing and quantity as well. I provided the necessary information and advice to the team to help guide them for better planning on food and resources. I was also part of a food stall and I am good at baking. I used my skills to make cookies to sell and help my teammates in planning what to bring and make.

LO2

As a team member and leader, it was my responsibility to carry the messages, new updates and reminders to everyone. Providing a helping hand to the teachers who also worked very hard into making this event successful. At first it was difficult to club everyone and manage everything altogether but as time passed we worked together to make it happen. 

LO3

For a better and smoother event, I first planned and brainstormed ideas with my own team, taking into consideration time, food, budget, ingredients and people coming so we can decide accordingly. Making choices thoughtfully, to make it feasible for all stakeholders. After that I helped others in need to decide on food items. Later I reminded everyone timely about the event, to start preparing and kept tabs on everyone. My organization and time management skills were sharpened taking care of my team and everyone else’s. 

LO6

We donated a portion of our revenue which was generated from our vibrant food, photography, and game stalls, to an NGO dedicated to supporting underprivileged children by providing them with essential supplies. It fills us with immense joy and fulfillment to know that our efforts and contributions are making a huge difference in the lives of those in need towards this noble cause, we are not only supporting a worthy organization but also reinforcing our commitment to social responsibility and community welfare.
