In this CAS experience, I taught kids from different government schools how to play frisbee. This was an eye-opening experience as it allowed me to learn how people in different schools with different backgrounds have different lifestyles. This showed me how everyone does not have the privilege to study in an excellent school and doesn’t have the facilities to play and have fun.

LO5 – Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively
When teaching the kids, we also had other volunteers. So we all had to collaborate to assign tasks like taking the kids to drink water, helping the kids to switch stations, handling the stations, correcting the kids’ mistakes, talking to the kids in the language they are comfortable with, etc.

LO6 – Engagement with issues of global significance
This was an issue of global significance as we thought of the underprivileged kids, as not many of the kids have the resources to explore new activities and learn new activities. This is of global significance as it helps the underprivileged kids to learn new things and take learnings from this which can benefit them in the future. 

 LO7 – Recognise and consider the ethics of choice

When we first started teaching the kids, I realized that many of them could not understand the language we were teaching. As I could fluently speak the language they understood, I repeated everything again for them to make sure they understood what we were teaching. Hence making the choice of speaking required ethics as some kids might not feel comfortable asking questions so I chose to tell them to ask questions to me if they had any.
