Personal Sports (Activity)

Playing frisbee has been a consistent part of my school life, starting from grade 5, continuing through grade 7, and then from grades 9 to 12. This sport has not only been a source of joy but has also contributed significantly to my physical fitness and overall well-being. The thrill of catching and throwing the frisbee, along with the fast-paced nature of the game, has helped me stay active and build my endurance. Beyond the physical benefits, frisbee has strengthened my teamwork and leadership skills, allowing me to bond with my teammates and develop a strong sense of sportsmanship.

LO1: Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth

Frisbee has helped me recognize my agility and quick reflexes as key strengths in the sport. At the same time, I identified areas for growth, such as improving my strategic play and teamwork dynamics. By working on these areas, I have enhanced my ability to anticipate my opponents’ moves and collaborate better with my team.

LO2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills

The challenge of improving my game required developing new skills such as precision throws and better field positioning. Overcoming these challenges pushed me to practice regularly and sharpen my ability to make split-second decisions on the field. This has made me a more skilled and confident player.

LO4: Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience

Playing frisbee throughout the year demanded perseverance, especially during intensive practice sessions. Despite moments of exhaustion and setbacks in matches, my commitment to the sport never wavered. Regular participation and continuous effort over the years have helped me build both physical endurance and mental resilience.

LO5: Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively

Frisbee is a team sport, and success relies heavily on effective collaboration. I learned how to coordinate plays, communicate strategies with teammates, and trust others during crucial moments in a game. This experience reinforced the importance of teamwork, helping me understand how shared effort leads to better performance.
