Our Physics Club is a weekly gathering of passionate students who share a love for the wonders of the universe. We meet to explore various concepts in physics, solve challenging problems, and discuss recent advancements in the field. Our goal is to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of physics through hands-on learning and collaborative exploration.
One of the most rewarding aspects of being a member of the Physics Club is the opportunity to work on challenging problems together. We often break down complex problems into smaller, more manageable parts and work together to find solutions. This collaborative approach not only helps us develop our problem-solving skills but also fosters a sense of teamwork and camaraderie.
Learning Outcomes:
- LO1: Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth: Being part of the Physics Club has helped me identify my strengths in problem-solving and critical thinking. I have also recognized areas for growth, such as improving my communication and presentation skills.
- LO2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills: We have tackled challenging physics problems and conducted complex experiments, which has helped us develop new skills such as data analysis, experimental design, and scientific communication.
- LO3: Initiate and plan a CAS experience: As members of the Physics Club, we have taken the initiative to plan and organize various activities, such as guest speaker events and field trips.
- LO4: Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience: We have demonstrated perseverance and commitment by consistently attending club meetings and participating in activities, even when faced with challenges.
- LO5: Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively: Working together on physics problems has helped us develop our collaboration skills, such as effective communication, teamwork, and shared decision-making.
