I had the opportunity to organize and deliver a Cyber Safety Seminar tailored for MYP students in grades 7 to 10. The seminar aimed to equip students with the knowledge and tools necessary to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly.

Using a Google Presentation, I covered a range of topics, including online privacy, digital footprints, cyberbullying, and safe social media usage. I emphasized the importance of protecting personal information, being mindful of online actions, and reporting harmful or inappropriate behavior.

One of the most rewarding aspects of this project was the opportunity to collaborate with other students and teachers. Together, we developed engaging content, designed interactive activities, and created a welcoming atmosphere for the participants. Working as a team not only strengthened our interpersonal skills but also ensured that the seminar was informative and relevant to the students’ needs.

Learning Outcomes:

• LO4: Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience: I remained committed to this project despite facing challenges in developing the presentation and engaging the students.
• LO5: Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively: Working with other students and teachers allowed me to develop my collaboration skills and learn from their perspectives.
• LO6: Engagement with issues of global significance: Cyber safety is a global issue that affects people of all ages. This seminar helped me understand the importance of digital literacy and the ethical implications of online behavior.
• LO7: Recognise and consider the ethics of choices and actions: I have become more aware of the ethical implications of online activities and the importance of using technology responsibly.
