As President/Founder of the Biology Club, I wanted to promote biology interest through discussions, biotech exploration, and lab experiments, showcasing my leadership and biology passion across grades 9-12 in my school.
LO3 – Initiate and plan a CAS experience
As the President and Founder of the Biology Club, I took the initiative to establish a platform where students could engage with biology beyond the classroom. I planned and organized activities such as discussions on current topics in biotechnology, hands-on lab experiments, and explorations of cutting-edge advancements. This required careful scheduling, goal-setting, and collaboration with teachers and peers to create meaningful and engaging sessions for club members. By ensuring the smooth execution of these activities, I successfully brought my vision for the club to life.
LO4 – Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience
Leading the Biology Club demanded consistent dedication and effort. From organizing regular meetings to ensuring that experiments and discussions ran smoothly, I committed time and energy to maintain the club’s momentum. There were times when attendance or interest fluctuated, but I remained persistent, adjusting activities to better align with members’ interests. My perseverance paid off as the club continued to grow, and I was able to sustain an environment where students could explore their passion for biology.
