On the CAS trip, we went to a rural village where we did a lot of activities such as teaching kids in rural areas, trekking in nature, crafting items, cooking, and many other things.
LO1
This trip helped me identify many challenges and strengths within myself, I became aware of my friendliness and the number of new friendships I had formed. The area of growth was identified through the constant exploring and adventures I had undergone during the trip. This consisted of using less technology and prioritizing friendships and nature which helped me identify how being connected to friendships and nature is so much more valuable.
LO2
I developed new skills such as exploring how to cook and teaching kids. These development of new skills are a result of the new experiences that were undertaken during the CAS trips. Some challenges like trying to cook and exploring nature developed new skills and perspectives towards these activities,
LO5
The CAS trip was a trip that was done with collaborative efforts. For example, teaching kids developed collaboration among my peers which showed me how working together makes a task easier and more impactful rather than working alone.
LO6
Teaching kids in the rural was a step towards working with a significant issue as the people in the rural might not always have the education that everyone else has and teaching them give them the knowledge that would be significant toward them in the future.
LO7
The ethics and choices made are taken into consideration when going on the trip. Firstly we did not pollute the environment or someone else place while we were on the immersion and made sure that the place was clean when we were there and we made less noise in the environment. Additionally, we also took consent from the kids and school we were teaching to make sure they were comfortable around us and didn’t feel uncomfortable.
