Creative Mela is an event where students get to explore their passions and discover new creative skills by taking part in different workshops. There are various activities which students can choose as per their interest, activities like, dot mandala, clay art, lippan art, macrame, bracelet making and many more. I volunteered in a creative mela for lippan art, and along with a mentor, had to teach the student how to do lippan art.

LO1 (Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth)

Art is not my thing but recently I have developed interest in it, lippan art was something new for me, Lippan art is made with air dry clay, paint and mirror, there are variety of designs which can be made iin lippan art. It was the first time I was going to make and teach lippan art. It was challenging but I was interested in learning lippan art, which made it easier to teach the students.

LO2 (Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process)

The challenges which i faced was, as mentioned earlier i had to learn and guide the students at the same time. A challenge we as a team faced was the student had limited time and within that time we had to teach them and help them in making theirs, to avoid that we prepared the material beforehand and also gave them so they could directly start making. 

LO5 (Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively)

The benefits of working collaboratively made the task easier, I was in incharge of handing the resources and making the clay for the lippan art, and the teacher was incharge of instructing and helping the students. When the first batch of students came it was chaotic as time was less, making of the clay and giving the resource was time consuming but after organizing things we prepared th resources before hand and the workshop with other batches went pretty smoothly.

In conclusion, Working collaboratively made the workshop go smoothly without any flaw. The learner profile characteristic which I developed was inquirer as lippan art was also new for me as well and i was very interested in making my own and helping the students.
