Our school organize Creative Mela every year,It is an vibrant event where student from Grade 7,8 and 9 can explore their creative interest and let their artistic skills get expressed through different workshops in which they can go and get their hands on experience from volunteers who teach them different skills such as clay art,macrame,dot mandala,bracelet making and many more workshop to explore.It is a great opportunity for students to learn new skills and discover their hidden artistic skills.The creative mela encourages students to work collaboratively and improve their skills like Interactive skills and more.This year I got an opportunity to host this event with my teammates to make this event memorable for all the students volunteering and participating.

LO3 Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience

This project helped me learn how to plan a project and how much time and effort it takes to make an event successful.I had a lot of support and guidance from the teacher incharge and my teammates as we distributed our work between people so that we can focus on our own strength and work collaboratively with new ideas and solution.As we also discussed about the last year’s event and what all was missing we found out a way to improve those limitations that can be initiated for this year’s event.We communicated actively about the progress and how we can make it more better if there are complication coming in between. As it was student led event we were given all the responsibility to work on and as it was our first year to plan and initiate an event it was actually very tough for us to problem solve each idea so that there is no confusion between team members but eventually after we got together as team and through different meeting we were able to solve that confusion and come up with the solution.

LO5 Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively

At the start of the first meeting,I was not aware of my teammates and how they are;So I was very confused that how I’m going to work with them and what their strengths and weakness are and because of that we used to work individually at first but after few meeting we were able to work collaboratively and know each others skills.Through this we then discussed different task and who can do those the best so that we can make the best for the event and achieve our common goal.Even though my teammate had their own task to complete we had each other’s support to complete those task we used to help each other whenever needed through this we get benefit of the back up support.

To conclude,through this project I got to understand my strengths and weakness and got to learn new skills.I got to experience to work collaboratively and show to the leadership throughout the event as It was my first time to plan a event and initiate different workshops.This project even helped me improve different skills which can help me in future as I go for my career path.
