Fresher’s Party (Project)- Class of 2026

The Freshers event was an exhilarating blend of creativity, meticulous planning, and vibrant performances. As a member of the core committee, I was involved in event planning and management. Additionally, I took charge of coordinating and overseeing the interacting games and anchoring, ensuring that every detail was executed flawlessly. The Freshers event welcomed new students with a series of exciting activities, performances, and interactions. My role involved not only the overall planning and management of the event but also the specific responsibility of leading the whole event with a smooth flow, and supervise all the departments. This dual role required a blend of organizational skills and creative vision.

LO1 – Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth

Through this experience, I discovered my strengths in event management, leadership, and creative direction. Coordinating multiple aspects of the event and leading all teams highlighted my ability to manage time, delegate tasks, and inspire others. However, I also recognized areas for growth, particularly in stress management and flexibility. Navigating unexpected changes and high-pressure situations taught me the importance of staying calm and adaptable.

LO2 – Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills

The challenges of organizing a large-scale event and coordinating whole event were significant. From logistical planning to last-minute adjustments, each step required problem-solving and decision-making skills. I developed new skills in crisis management and communication, ensuring that the event went smoothly and was captivating.

LO3 – Initiate and plan a CAS experience

Planning the Freshers event involved a month of preparation. From brainstorming sessions to detailed planning meetings, each aspect of the event was carefully thought out. My responsibilities included creating schedules, coordinating with various teams, and ensuring that all elements came together seamlessly on the day of the event. This experience reinforced my organizational skills and taught me the importance of thorough planning and collaboration.

LO4 – Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience

The commitment required for the Freshers event was immense. Balancing academic responsibilities with the demands of event planning tested my perseverance. There were moments of exhaustion and doubt, but staying focused on the goal and seeing the excitement of the new students kept me motivated. The experience taught me the value of dedication and hard work.

LO5 – Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively

The success of the Freshers event was a testament to the power of teamwork. Collaborating with the core committee, volunteers, and performers was crucial. We shared responsibilities, supported each other, and worked towards a common goal. This collaboration not only made the event successful but also created a sense of camaraderie and mutual respect among all participants.
