The most important experience of my life was organising the district-level music and art competition ‘Kalakriti’ which taught me a lot about myself as an individual and a professional.

Their team had experience in assisting the communities to deal with different social problems including poverty, health care, education, and others as well as they were trained on how to address these issues.

One very satisfying part of organising ‘Kalakriti’ was working closely with a group of like minded individuals who were enthusiastic about enhancing arts and culture within our society. As a result of collaborative efforts, we translated our dreams into reality by creating a platform where budding artists and musicians could showcase their talents.

This event put me through various tests that challenged my ability to solve problems as they came up in due course. From managing resources to last minute schedule changes, every hurdle provided an opening for imaginative troubleshooting and flexibility. By means of effective communication together with quick decision-making processes, we passed through unforeseen circumstances thus ensuring that the competition went on smoothly.

Additionally, ‘Kalakriti’ as a project gave me a deeper understanding about the complicated nature of event management and involving communities. As an organiser, I picked up several key lessons on how to be thorough in preparation for events, managing time properly and allocating resources well. Besides, seeing the positive influences that ‘Kalakriti’ had on participants and audience convinced me more about art being a potent tool for stirring up innovation, freedom of speech and cross cultural exchange.

Assessing my involvement in ‘Kalakriti’, revealed my leadership skills as well as my weaknesses in the organisation. It made me discover that I have good tendencies for strategy formulation, reliable delegation of duties and effective crisis management which helped me handle numerous challenging situations with self-assuredness. Also, I saw what to develop in myself like delegation or timing through continuous self-analysis and professional growth.

In conclusion, organising ‘Kalakriti’ was not merely an event but a journey of self-discovery and growth. It provided me with a platform to harness my skills, expand my knowledge, and explore my potential as a leader and change-maker. Moving forward, I am committed to leveraging the lessons learned from ‘Kalakriti’ to embark on new endeavours and make a positive impact in my community and beyond.
