I was part of maths club as I participated in numerous activities and sum solving, I joined the club the the purpose of participating with my friends to explore new sums and try to solve i as it helped me to improve in my Maths skills as i was able to learn from lots of people who also participated in the Maths club and the creators of the club.

LO4 Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences

The club purpose was to improve the Maths skills of its members by calculating sums we found on the IB websites and other sources and to make it more interesting the creators of the club divided into 2 teams to make it feel more energetic and competitive and that lead to me to shows commitment in the Math club which was one of my Cas experiences.

The skills that I developed/showcased through this experience were the following motioned  

• Thinkers – as these competitions and sessions will require us to think critically
• Inquirers – We will be required to inquire upon different theorems and concepts in the subject
• Knowledgeable – We will be asked to use our previous knowledge in the sessions
• Balanced – this club will make sure that out physical as well as mental wellbeing is maintained.

Mathematics is a universal language, and by participating I develop a strong foundation in math, I contributed to a skill set that is essential for solving global problems. By fostering a love for math through interactive and engaging activities, I aimed to get more knowledge on Maths to pursue math-related fields that could address challenges like technological advancements, environmental sustainability, and innovation in various sectors.

LO 7
While participating the math club, I was mindful of ensuring that i was able to keep up with others , regardless of their math ability, I received equal attention and support. I made it a priority to be in a inclusive environment where I felt comfortable asking questions without fear of judgment. Additionally, I enjoyed the games and teaching methods.

LO 3
participating the math club involved coordinating with teachers and students to schedule sessions and ensure that I would be prepared for of each grade level of questions they prepare for us. Participating the sessions required balancing engaging activities with focused learning, which I achieved by incorporating fun games and practical applications of math concepts. This experience helped me refine my organizational and planning skills, making the club both educational and enjoyable.
