I got the chance to plan a Murder Mystery stall as part of our school’s Pi Day celebrations. In addition to putting my problem-solving skills to the test, this experience helped me learn new ones, show persistence, and work well with others.

Creating a Murder Mystery stall was a challenge for me. The first step was to create a good story based on mathematical clues and the concept of Pi. I had never written a plot before, so I did research on how to write narratives. One of the most difficult problems was ensuring that the tale was neither too complex nor too simple as the audience were from different grade.Throughout the Pi day project, I improved my creative writing skills and problem-solving abilities. I also gained experience making puzzles, which was completely new to me. This event pushed me out of my comfort zone
LO4: Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience
The preparation for the stall took almost a week and required constant effort and attention. From brainstorms to working on feedback, my dedication remained constant despite the countless problems encountered.There were moments when the clues weren’t matched correctly, or the plot appeared too predictable. Rather than feeling discouraged, I kept improving the details. However, my enthusiasm for the project kept me motivated.Patience was crucial. I learned that success does not come easily and that patience is essential when faced with challenges. This project taught me the importance of hard work and determination, as the end result was a highly informative and successful stall with positive comments from both students and teachers.
LO5: Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively
The success of our Murder Mystery stall relied on teamwork. I worked with a group of four members, each of whom brought unique ideas. We had meetings to review progress, generate ideas, and assign duties.Effective communication was important. We communicate in group chats and shared ideas. By giving roles and duties, we ensured that everyone was on the same page and contributed equally to the project.Working together made the work easier. This experience demonstrated the value of cooperation and how coordinated efforts can produce amazing results.easily and that patience and hard work is important when faced with challenges. The Pi Day Murder Mystery stall was a wonderful experience. It demonstrated the value of taking on challenges. This event helped me gain new abilities, and understand the importance of teamwork, all of which are vital components of the CAS programme.
