L4. Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience

This CAS experience, was quite difficult to do because I am not a workaholic person who wakes up early during weekends, but I woke up early and worked hard just to be able to take part in this CAS experience, and that was one really sincere commitment on my part. Direct handling and interaction with animals require some perseverance as participants actually are highly active in the activities that happen in the shelters. It can be enclosures cleaning, feeding animals, or assisting with enrichment activities. Even when tasks are physical and sometimes difficult, participants remain enthusiastic to ensure better welfare for the animals.

L6. Engagement with issues of global significance

The actual activity of preparing and feeding animals is only a small part of the entire experience. Seeing how dedicated staff members of Nature Club are. They were the warriors fighting on the frontlines to combat the neglect and mistreatment of animals. From seeing the animals at different stages of their recovery-from being very shy and withdrawn initially, to playful confidence in their adoptive companions-seeing that saw and had ethical responsibility in pet ownership, shelters and affect animal welfare issues across the globe. It became clear how widespread animal welfare issues are as the well-being of these rescued animals reached people beyond their community.

L7. Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions

The Animal Shelter was such a place, which I spent considerable time during where I was constantly posed with issues of ethical dilemmas about welfare and care of the animals. Through my way of behavior with the animals and shelter, I realized that I had to make ethical decisions and acts. Ensuring that my CAS was responsible was by following the ethical standards and ethics. For instance, proper care and treatment of the injured animals and respect in rights.
