Farewell is the most awaited event of the school. I was so glad to be part of the decor team for farewell, because  decor is one of the key components for any event, in order to make the event look aesthetically appealing. However, on the way there were many challenges which came during the process. One and most challenging part was to manage time, this is because firstly we were short of the time, additionally we also had our assessments and other submission coming during that time period.
This was one of the those event which takes a lot of planning to be done before hand. For this we had to plan a draft of the decor which was going to be put up on the venue of the farewell. This was very crucial part because before executing the decor we had to actually see whether does it fulfill our requirements or not. After many feedbacks by the teammates we created the final plan for our decor which was the most suitable one out of all the presented.

L2. Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills

At times due to workload from other subjects, it became a little challenging for me to complete all my tasks on time. As for the decor we were already running short of time additionally there were assessments coming up so managing both the tasks became difficult. So here I developed my time management skills by creating the Eisenhower Matrix, which helped me to sort out my tasks and complete them on time and not to miss any. 

L5. Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively

Working collaboratively was one of the most important aspects when it comes to being a part of the decor team. This is because while planning out the layout of the overall event there were multiple viewpoints and perspectives, so during this situation being open minded to different and contrasting perspectives was a key component. Also working in group helped us by getting many feedback which had improvised our idea and resulted in to the most suitable one.
Additionally, while executing the ideas, working collaboratively really helped us by getting our task done on time by increasing the efficacy of the work. This is because there were equal efforts from each one of us which added up to our contribution. 

Towards the conclusion, farewell was a great experience and a wonderful combination of learning new skills and enjoying the event throughout the process.Adding on, during this experience I was able to display the learner profile attribute “thinker” and “open-minded” this is because while planning out the decor there were multiple opinion and perspective so by being open minded I was able to agree to disagree. While portraying thinker I was able to critically think on my decision made in order to know whether they impacted my time and studies parallelly.
