Being a part of the Farewell team was so much fun and this taught me lot of things. Farewell is one of the most awaited event of the school year. I was part of the decor team. As I was pasionate about Arts and Craft so I could also contribute some of the ideas.We had to prepare everything with the budget in mind and try our best since we had a set amount that we couldn’t go over. Although there were ups and downs along the process, everyone learnt a lot in the end. The main thing I learned was how to manage budget and our goal was to give them out with a memorable farewell within that budget. Our main aim was to make their farewell memorable keeping in mind the budget aswell.

LO2 -Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken.

We had to organize the entire farewell within the budget that was provided, which was a challenge because we had many ideas, but if we did too many things, it would go over budget, so we did our best to keep everything within the budget. We learned how to achieve similar outcomes to our expectations through using less expensive options. This helped me strengthen my money skills, which will be useful in the future.

LO3 – Initiate and plan a CAS experience.

Each event has its own issues, and this one was no different. Since it was our seniors’ last day, we wanted it to be the most special day ever. However, because it was an event held at the school, there were a lot of restrictions that prevented us from doing a lot of what we wanted to do, which led to a lot of problems. thankfully the school also provided us with a lot of support and helped us work through those issues.Through this event I learned many new skills like time managing, being collaborative with my teammates and the main was to work under a budget. Organizing an event is a crucial thing which I feel everyone should have that experience which would help in future.

LO4: Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience.

I was a member of the decor team, and the decor team had to arrive early throughout the weeks of preparation, which was a little difficult for me because I was not used to getting up early. It was difficult for a few of days, but then I became used to it which made it simpler.However, in order to complete this experience, I needed to show up, which tested my commitment to the CAS program. I learned that in order to achieve my goals, I needed to get outside of my comfort zone, which could involve making lifestyle changes and sacrificing comfort.

LO5 – Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively

There were still a lot of things to finish, and we wanted everything to be flawless, but we were running out of time.We were short on time, and if they hadn’t helped, there would still have been things left. The whole farewell team (dancing and games) joined us on D-day and helped us with the last decorations. Because we were all working together, we were able to finish it on time. Even though we had different plans for many of the sectors and things did not go as planned, the event was still successful in the end.

In conclusion, This experience taught me a lot of new things and also got to know how an event is being planned and how to work on the given budget and time, How collaboratively we must work in order to make the event a success.There were many things which went wrong and during that time patience was required as it was tangled up.
