Bal Mela (Project)

Fountainhead School organizes Bal mela every year, A day which is ment to cheer up underprivileged kids. This event includeds variours activities for the kids like face-painting,Tattoo making, Dance,Sack race, Seven stones and etc. This year I had the opportunity to be a member of the core commite, Our responsibility was to organize the event (sports, dance, and art and craft), and then assign volunteer responsibilities. Since there were more than ten schools being involved, we all divided up the roles to ensure that everything went smoothly and everyone had fun. I was given the task of arts and crafts with my other teammate. We devoted many hours on creating engaging crafts and gathering resources for the kids. Our objective was to encourage creativity, games, dance and give each participant an unforgettable experience.

LO3 – Initiate and plan a CAS experience.

As the part of the core team, First we discussed our plans with my other members and the after finalizing about the event, We talked about our plans with the coordinators to give their approval. We enrolled form for the volunteers and sent to students of grade 7-12. After reciving the responses we divided our selfs some members were looking for games and activities, some were looking arts and craft and etc so that it is easy for us to manage.I started grouping the volunteers based on the responses recivied. To make sure we dont face any issue on the last day we aimed to complete every thing before time so that we have time to look for other things on the day of Bal mela. At the end the event was an success everyone enjoyed, the kids had a great time at Bal mela

LO5 – Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively.

We were a team of 6 people and the main thing in the event was group coordination and support of the coordinators because without it the event would not have been possible. We divided up the tasks, which made our work much easier and faster. At the end it was essential for everyone of the volunteer team to participate equally in order to guide the volunteers and make sure they were informed to carry out their tasks with enthusiasm and determination. Overall we all worked as a team and because of that the event was a success.Everybody contributed their unique skills and knowledge, which helped us get beyond any obstacles that came up. The team’s collaboration along with joyful energy really changed how the event turned out.

LO7 – Recognise and consider the ethics of choices and actions.

We never respect for what we have, but seeing them on the day how they enjoyed each and every thing with patience.Through this event I learned one thing that be thankful for what you have becuase not everyone is as fortunate as we are. It’s essential to be kind and understanding to people since we never know what challenges they might be going through. I feel inspired by this experience to keep showing empathy and appreciation in my day-to-day interactions.
