Freshers(for batch of 2024)

We planned the freshers party for the upcoming batch of dp. In this event, I was a part of the dance team and helped with the games as well. The learning outcomes I achieved in this were 1, 2, 4, and 5.

LO1: Identify own strengths and areas for growth

As someone who has always enjoyed dancing, I was excited to be part of the dance team for the Freshers’ Party. I was confident in my ability to contribute creatively, but I soon realized that there was room for growth in areas like leadership and coordination. Being responsible for certain aspects of the choreography pushed me to refine my skills in organizing group dynamics and managing time effectively. I also identified that I needed to work on my ability to stay calm under pressure, especially when performing in front of a large audience. This experience helped me recognize my strengths and highlighted the areas where I could improve.

LO2: Demonstrate That Challenges Have Been Undertaken, Developing New Skills

Preparing for the Freshers’ Party was not without its challenges. We had to coordinate rehearsals around everyone’s busy schedules, which often meant early ins for practice. There were also moments when the choreography didn’t come together as planned, leading to frustration within the team. However, these challenges became opportunities for growth. I learned new techniques to enhance my dancing skills and developed better strategies for time management. Moreover, dealing with the stress of preparing for a live performance taught me how to stay focused and maintain a positive attitude, even when things were difficult.

LO4: Show Commitment and Perseverance in CAS Experiences

The journey to the Freshers’ Party was a testament to our team’s commitment and perseverance. There were times when we felt exhausted, especially during the final week leading up to the event, when rehearsals intensified. Despite the fact that we were overwhelmed, and the occasional setbacks, such as last-minute changes in the routine, we remained dedicated to delivering our best performance. The sense of commitment was not just about showing up for rehearsals but also about supporting each other through the process.

LO5: Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively

Working as part of the dance team for the Freshers’ Party was a true exercise in collaboration. Our success depended on our ability to communicate effectively, share responsibilities, and trust each other’s abilities. We had to coordinate not just the dance moves but also the music, lighting, and costumes to ensure a seamless performance. Through this process, I learned the value of teamwork and how collaboration can lead to a more creative and polished final product.

Conclusion:

Participating in the Freshers’ Party as part of the dance team was an enriching experience that went beyond the performance itself. It was an opportunity to grow as an individual, learn from challenges, and understand the power of teamwork.
