During this trip in the month of September we visited a place called Igatpuri. The main goal of this trip was to have some adventure when trekking,and also having some great time with friends playing cards. During this time we had also interacted with the government school students making them learn new things and make them have fun. 

During this trip even though my health wasn’t so good, we all went to a dam and cleaned it. Trash was thrown all over the place in the waters and even in the rocks present around the environment. With this, we visited a government school and spent time playing some outdoor games with them and we all enjoyed this moment. They had also created a dance which showcased their culture and made us understand the importance of such type of culture we were able to be in. During the trip I had started to feel ill, which made me even get tired easily but I was still able to do it and contribute such time with all these people. We had also done certain activities such as zipline, obstacle courses and much more. I really enjoyed all these things but with that I was also able to understand the problems which other people face and at every moment complaining and talking about the problem showing that I was not so comfortable with them all time which needs some scope of improvement, making me understand what all things I could do so that I could cope up with these type of problems.

LO2 – Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills

There were multiple challenges which I personally faced during this trip, trekking and even because of the rainy season on the altitude at which we were currently staying there was a lot of due in the environment causing sleepiness in some areas and it was a bit difficult going up the mountain. At the same time I even had a lot of fun falling multiple times making me understand that it wasn’t the right place for me having fun. This helped me gain experience, and even though we all had done in the prior trips it was necessary for us to go through all this so we can be well-trained for our life present ahead of us.

LO3 – Initiate and plan a CAS experience

During this trip when we all were about to interact with the students present in the school, with a mutual understanding we all had decided to make them have some fun. Making them play Kho-kho, football, Kabaddi and many more games which would make them have a lot of fun. We also had planned the way in which we could interact with the students so they don’t be shy or hesitate in playing games with us. This really made us all feel like a family and had a great journey spending time with them.

LO5 – Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collabratively

Collaboration was involved in the entire trip due to my health issues. Also, people made it easy to work as they used to help me in many things. Also when we all used to climb we all used to make sure even aunty one of us didn’t fall and even they got used to at that moment with help of each other we used to give much help in the trekking activity. Also when lots of trash was spreaded around the dam we all took each other’s help in collecting all the things in the bag. And with this collaboration we were able to organize our entire trip in a proper schedule and manner so things are completed quickly. We also had created different groups to interact with the government school students so they could have much better fun rather than creating chaos in groups. 

 LO6 – Engagement with issues of global significance.

One of the major issues around us is cleanliness, this is because of the lack of responsibility of people living around the place. They would never take it seriously and take it lightly to create a lot of trash around the dam. Even a SDG is created about life on land and under water which are affected due to this cleanliness, and due to this trip we all had a main motive to spread awareness. We all were also catering the a SDG of quality education where we had interacted with the students understanding their problems and make them have fun by making them play games. These all things were unique in their self and it definitely create an awareness regarding the same to create awareness on this global issue.
