For this experience we need to attend four sessions, During this service program we clean various locations to make our city more cleaner.In the first session we went to clean an pond,We tried to remove the wild plants from the surface of ponds which was preventing the sunglight to reach the water. It was very difficult to remove the wild plants as there roots were stuck and it had been there for a long time which was hard to remove. 3-4 kids went inside the pond to clear the surface and the people who did not went helped the rope to drag the wild plants with the waste banner outside the pond.This project not only made the area cleaner, but it also gave us a chance to consider how much pollution and harm humans have caused to the environment. It helped me realize that while it’s simple to claim that pollution can be reduced, even small efforts to clean up our environment—such as picking up trash—prove to be incredibly time-consuming.Through this experience I learned that we should dispose trash in the bins according to the category to maintain a clean environment.

LO2 Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills

I find it a bit difficult to as for this session we had to arrive early in the morning.It was hard to get the trah and separate them. I had to move beyond of my comfort zone and attend all four sessions. In addition, we were instructed to enter the pond and then clean, which required even more commitment.In order to clean more quickly and effectively, we divided up the roles and worked as a team overall.

LO7 Recognise and consider the ethics of choices and actions.

Although the best efforts to clean up and protect the environment, when we entered the water, we unintentionally damaged species that are essential to the food chain and ecosystem. Furthermore, even though they were necessary, wearing gloves and masks caused additional garbage that we carefully disposed of. I learned from this experience that anything, no matter how helpful to some, has the potential to hurt other people in the long run.

In conclusion, This CAS experience was really helpful for me because I learned many new things as we do not notice this regularly but during this drive I got to know that there are places which need to me more cleaned and sanitized. I used communication skills as we need to work as a team and we had to gather trash into groups for example some group would collect glass,plastic, dry waste and etc.Hence, This session taught me a lot of new things.
