We hosted a bake sale fundraiser for Mrida education and welfare with my classmates because we deeply cared about charity and wanted to take action on the same. We hosted 3-4 bake sales during school events and sold desserts, foods and drinks in football tournaments and during alumni events. We raised 10,630 rupees in total for MRIDA education and welfare.

It was hard during the first bake sale as it was a relatively new experience. We started off at the wrong venue which led to less customers than expected so we had to improvise by calling parents and alluminies towards us which took a lot of bravery and communication. It was odd at first but for a pure reason of fundraising for MRIDA we overcame the social anxiety and went up to people inviting them to our venue from all around the scale. We opened up and communicated to people about the reason behind the bake sale in order to spread awareness on MRIDA education and welfare. On our second bake sale, we had a majority of kids as the target audience which is why we changed our tactics and critically thought about what will attract them to us. This saved a lot of energy and time and with the help of sweets and cool drinks in the hot weather we had a good amount of customers in our second bake sale.

During our bake sale fundraiser for Mrida Education and Welfare, I demonstrated commitment and perseverance by overcoming several challenges. Initially, our first bake sale was difficult as we started at the wrong venue, leading to fewer customers than expected. Instead of giving up, I took the initiative to invite parents and alumni to our stall, despite feeling nervous about approaching people. This experience taught me the importance of communication and adaptability. For our second bake sale, we strategically targeted children by offering sweets and cool drinks, which attracted more customers. Despite initial setbacks, I remained determined and focused on our goal of raising funds for a cause we deeply cared about.

During our bake sale fundraiser for Mrida Education and Welfare, we made the ethical decision to donate the leftover food to those in need, ensuring that it didn’t go to waste and contributed to the well-being of the community. This choice highlighted the importance of food safety, as we had to be diligent in handling and storing the food to avoid any health risks. We recognized our responsibility to prioritize not wasting food, which reinforced the significance of ethical practices in our actions. This experience not only supported our fundraising efforts but also deepened my understanding of the broader impact of our choices on the community.
To conclude, we raised around 8 thousand rupees in the span of 2 months and 2 bake sales. We are donating all profits to MRIDA education and welfare and it has taught me to adapt to situations, be grateful and understanding overall.
