I participated in an International painting competition organised by ICS. I competed amongst other 1500 paintings and won. As I got to know about the competition, I started thinking about the painting and how should it turn out to be. I made a few sample sketches and after 10 days of trial and error, I finally came up to the final painting. I finally submitted it to ICS and after a few days I got the result.

LO2 – Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills.

There were a lot of challenges I faced during the experience. I was not able to come up with an idea and design according to the theme which was “Travel Diaries”. I had to think and practice a lot in order to design my own painting. I developed a new skill of making paintings without any reference or idea. I made the whole painting from scratch.

LO3 – Initiate and plan a CAS experience.

I took an initiative to participate in the competition and plan out the whole process that how should I actually start in order to reach the milestone.

LO4 – Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience.

I was very committed in working on this experience and submitting the painting for the competition. I dedicatedly worked on the painting until it was ready to be submitted.

All in all, I enjoyed the experience and worked hard to win the competition and developing new skills which might help me in my future studies.
