I had the opportunity to contribute to our school’s annual Pi Day celebration—a vibrant event dedicated to appreciating the complexity of mathematics. As part of the decor and logistics team, my role involved creating an engaging and visually appealing environment while ensuring the event ran seamlessly. From designing thematic decorations to managing the setup and flow of activities, I played a crucial role in bringing the event to life.

LO1 – Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth

Participating in Pi Day helped me recognize my strengths in creativity and organizational skills. Designing decorations required an eye for detail and a thoughtful approach to making the mathematical theme visually appealing. From crafting pi-themed banners to arranging interactive displays, I leveraged my artistic skills to create an immersive experience. However, I also realized that I needed to work on my time management, as balancing multiple tasks—such as setting up displays while ensuring smooth transitions between activities—proved to be challenging.
